SAS 3P: Program Pentauliahan Professional

If you are currently a final year undergraduate student studying in Malaysia public university (IPTA: Institut Pengajian Tinggi Awam), you are eligible to register for SAS certification training (SAS Certified Based Programmer Training), under the 3P program, for free.

The SAS certification training, if taken outside university, cost about RM 10,000 per person for corporate sector.

Pre-requisites to run SAS 3P certification in your IPTA:
1. The certification training is only for Malaysian undergraduate students in their final year ( last two semesters ).
2. The certification training is schedule in June ( dates subject to final confirmation with respective IPTAs)
3. Minimum 100 students to run 3P in your university, minimum 25 students to open a class.
4. Only students who pass the pre-test will be eligible to attend the certification training. Pre-test will be schedule in May 2014, only students who have pass the pre-test are eligible to attend certification training in June 2014.
5. Students must have SAS programming knowledge prior to taking the pre-test. Minimum few months of using SAS programming to manipulate industry data, preferably in their research.
6. Students can pick up SAS programming knowledge via e-learning. Refer next post on how to access e-learning for free.

This certification training will only be held during long semester break, schedule in June 2014 for those who pass the pre-test.

Training: 5 days ( SAS Programming One & Two )
Exam Preparation: 2 days
Exam: 1 day

How to access e-learning?

Go to www.sas.com, click on login
New user: create a profile
Those with profile can go straight to e-learning page to enter activation code

Once you have created your profile, login to your email address, click on the link to activate your profile.

Key in a password for your SAS Profile, please remember this password for future reference.

It will then lead you to this page, click on Access Self-pace e-learning

Place cursor at left panel, key in G follow by 8 digit Technical ID from your license key/setinit text file

Read and accept license agreement
